From the "El Mundo" Dance Guide for Saturday, 6 March 1943. (Click to enlarge.)
Angel D'Agostino's orchestra with singer Angel Vargas plays two Carnaval dances at Club Atlético Estudiantes at Avenida Francisco Beiro 5175 in the barrio of Villa Devoto. Tonight's dance is a velada (late-night dance) beginning at 10:30, probably ending at 2 or 3 a.m. Tomorrow's dance is a soirée (early-evening dance) beginning at 8:30 and ending at midnight. The accompanying act is the Leo Karr Jazz Band.
The fancy hand-drawn type and script was created by the Santa Cruz publicity agency. Entry fee $3 pesos for male guests, $1 peso for female guests, and free for club members. (One peso was worth about $3 USD in today's dollars.)
