Dear Friends--
Tango Time Machine has turned out to be a much bigger project than I ever imagined! The ads in Buenos Aires' "El Mundo" morning newspaper go on for at least another ten years beyond 1945, and I want to capture as many of them as I can. The information they contain is too fascinating and too valuable to miss. As a result, I've decided to commit more time to the project, which means staying in Buenos Aires for a longer period of time. To that end, I'm doing a little fundraising campaign to support this ongoing research and also, I hope, to give you joy.
THE EDGARDO DONATO MEMORIAL CHALICE is the first in a series of "practical mementos" from Tango Time Machine. The 1942 Edgardo Donato advertising graphic pictured on the chalice is printed high-resolution on a high-quality ceramic vessel designed to hold your post-milonga coffee, tea or single-malt in style. I hope you will enjoy it.
The chalices cost us about $8 to manufacture, so we priced them at $16 plus shipping and handling--such a deal! Feel free to donate more if you wish; there is an option at checkout.... or simply buy in huge quantities! Your purchases will keep the Time Machine in good working order!
Our fundraising campaign closes on April 1, so please order now. Don't miss out on the EDGARDO DONATO MEMORIAL CHALICE!
